We are finally recovering from a very busy and successful year!  I want to thank everyone for your support this year.  We are taking a much needed vacation, heading out to the Davis Mountains!  (Yes it will be cold!)

All of us here at The Highland Rat want to wish all of you a very happy holiday season.  Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Festivus, Happy Yule, whatever you celebrate:  May it be a joyous time with your family!

Here is looking forward to another great year in 2023!

The Mad Ratter

Hello!

I hope everyone is ready for TRF opening day!  I am looking forward to a great year.  If you did not know, this is my 40th year as a vendor at TRF.  (42 if you count the years i attended as patron!).  I have many new designs, and many old designs that have been brought back in new and updated forms for this anniversary year.  And yes, there are riddles, probably even more obtuse and obscure than ever (or maybe not!).   I am going to try and have Sunday riddles be slightly easier.

The shop looks amazing already, and the new doors and stone work weathered the year remarkably well.  We will have The Rampant Rat flags proudly flying and look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!

The Mad Ratter

Hello!

Welcome to the new Rat Blog for The Highland Rat!  I will be adding tidbits of information here about various shows, travels, sales and other information about the Rats (and dragons and other creatures that show up.). I will be moving all updates regarding The Highland Rat to this site.  I hope that you find it as fun and informative as my previous posts.

The Mad Ratter

Our new source of rat news!

The Rat Blog will be our source of information for the highland rat community. We will have messages from the Mad Ratter. We will also have information for events we attend. The events will be organized by event location and event year to make it easy to review current events and reminisce events of the past.

Harris Hawk with the Mad Ratter! My birds have been trained to not eat the Rats!
